Understanding the global football ecosystem

We appreciate that the global football ecosystem is complex, and that it is not always easy to find help. In this article, we'll help you identify where the problem lies and point you in the right direction.
For a short overview of what different systems do, you may also check our Welcome to the FIFA Connect ID Support Portal! article.

Thanks to the success of the FIFA Connect Programme over the past decade, most football-related systems are now integrated. They communicate with each other, exchanging information, which is usually helpful - for example we no longer need to enter the same data twice in two systems.

However, this also has a downside: systems depend on each other's availability. This often makes it difficult for the end user to correctly identify the root cause of an issue they are experiencing.

Below you will find a basic overview of how the systems are integrated and practical tips to help you identify who to contact in case of an issue.

Integration Overview

The main system you use every day is your NRS (National Registration System). Many MAs use an NRS coming from the same provider, the most popular being FCP (FIFA Connect Platform, by FIFA) and Comet (by Analyticom).

Your NRS is integrated with the FIFA Connect ID Service. It means that almost every operation you do in your NRS is immediatelly sent to Connect ID to keep the central system up-to-date. All the players in your NRS can also be found in Connect ID (identified by a unique identifier - FIFA_ID) - and it is very important that this information is identical. Many

FIFA Connect ID integration ensures automatic synchronization of player and organisation data between your National Registration System (NRS), FIFA Connect ID, and FIFA TMS.

Any updates you make to a player’s data in your NRS should reflect seamlessly across these platforms when integration is properly functioning.
