We hope this message finds you well.
Following recent updates, the FIFA TMS system will longer support the creation of new FIFA IDs directly within TMS. Going forward, all FIFA IDs should originate from Member Association systems integrated with the FIFA Connect ID Service.
As part of this change, any former FIFA IDs held by TMS must be taken over by your Member Association's system, if they have not been already. If your system currently does not support this process, you must contact our support team for guidance on the next steps.
To support this transition, we encourage Member Associations to regularly review the FIFA Connect ID Service Data Quality Dashboard that is available in the Connect ID Admin Console and identify records where:
- TMS is currently the Data Owner
- the player is actively registered in your Member Association
- your system should take over the record by pushing the active registration to Connect ID
Keeping player registrations aligned with the player’s current football activity helps ensure:
- accurate player ownership
- correct synchronisation across systems
- proper handling of transfers and Electronic Player Passports (EPPs)
- correct distribution of training rewards and compensation
