Release Notes for the DXP application

DXP (Data Exchange Platform) is a new application that facilitates contact between
Member Associations and making a decision whether two players are the same (duplicates) or different persons.

Here is a link to our step by step guide on how to work in the DXP application.

DXP is being continuously developed. If you have any comments or suggestions for the future, please let us know via support.id@fifa.org. Our goal is to improve your experience and we will answer your every comment.

We are excited to announce the latest updates to our application, designed to enhance user experience and improve security.

Version 2024-04-19 (global roll-out)

Today DXP is being released to all Member Associations! There are no big functional changes this time but we expect some after we receive feedback from the Users. If you want to share your thoughts, fill in a short survey or send us an email to support.id@fifa.org

New Features

  • added a standard regulatory information about the "Terms of Use" and "Service Description". Every user is required to accept the two documents before proceeding to the application.
  • DXP users are automatically created and invitations sent for all TMS Managers

Improvements

  • added a proper handling of the edge case when another Member Association sends an empty message when asked for details of a potential duplicate

Bug fixes

  • fixed a bug causing the error message to be hidden from the user in case of e.g. too large attachment

Version 2024-03-29

New Features

  • Support for the TMS Team: We added support for the TMS (Transfer Matching System) Team. This FIFA System plays a key role in player transfers. For some FIFA_IDs TMS manages them on behalf of Member Associations. As such, it can take part in a decision concerning duplicates. This release introduces support for the TMS Team. From the perspective of a standard MA, a ticket they open may be assigned to TMS. This will only happen if TMS manages data of a potential duplicate. Such a record will be visible in DXP as having a System ID = FIFA_TMS.

Version 2024-03-25

New Features

  • List of Archived Tickets: An "Archive" section has been introduced in the graphical user interface, which presents a comprehensive list of all archived tickets. Due to data protection, an archived ticket no longer contains any personal information. Note that it is currently not possible to view a single archived ticket with comments. If you think it is important to view comments for an archived ticket, let us know by reaching out to support.id@fifa.org.

Improvements

  • Enhanced Photo Zoom for Players: Clicking on a player's main image within a DXP ticket now opens the full-sized photo rather than a thumbnail. This improvement facilitates a more detailed comparison between individuals.

Version 2024-03-08

New Features

  • Player Photo Support in .TIFF Format: We've expanded our photo support to include .TIFF files. Now, you can upload player photos in .TIFF format, providing more flexibility and ensuring high-quality images within the application.
  • "Archived" Status: We don't want to leave personal data lying around for too long. If the ticket has been closed more than 7 days ago, it will be automatically moved to status "Archived" and all personal data is going to be removed. Starting from the next release (planned for the w/c 2023-03-18) such tickets will be available in the "Archive" section of the DXP.

Improvements

  • Security Enhancement with Watermarking: In our commitment to security, every document and photo uploaded and displayed in DXP is now automatically watermarked. This watermarking feature is aimed at enhancing document security and reducing unauthorized sharing.
  • Improved Display of Date of Birth for Players: We've improved how player's dates of birth are displayed, making it easier to read and understand.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug preventing the ticket modification timestamp from being updated during the ticket closure.
